My ambition is to work on writing, storyboarding and direction, to bring compelling stories to life and create immersive experiences, much like the ones that inspired me to pursue this path.

From a young age, my world was a playground for storytelling. Whether I was choreographing action scenes with my off-brand action figures, each punch and kick vividly playing out in my mind as I terribly lip-synced the sound effects, or crafting plots where my toy cars raced through shark mouths and crashing through lego buildings to save the day, my imagination was always in motion. But to me, these moments were more than just child-play, they were early experiments in narrative creation. Even then, without realizing it, I was tapping into the joy of storytelling, a passion that has only grown stronger as I started playing with the tools that could bring those worlds to life.

My academic journey in cinema and animation helped me develop a strong foundation in scriptwriting, animation, and film production. Through these experiences, I've come to see that every person is, in many ways, an accumulation of their stories and emotions, something I am deeply committed to understanding and portraying in my work. Bringing a story to life, watching it evolve, and seeing how it resonates with others is one of the most rewarding experiences I have experienced.

Beyond storytelling, my education has equipped me with a versatile skill set. I have experience in programming, sound design, foley, photography, cinematography, animation, storyboarding, and post-production. I consider myself a Swiss Army knife. A multidisciplinary artist who can adapt and find the right tools for any creative challenge. Years of working with various software and programs have taught me how to efficiently navigate new tools and approaches, allowing me to tackle projects with confidence and creativity.

I am eager to continue learning and refining my skills, particularly in animation and cinematography. My goal is to work on projects that immerse viewers in complex emotional landscapes and create stories that rival those of major studios. With my passion for storytelling and broad technical expertise, I am ready to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of multimedia art.

Echoes of Solitude is a short film developed as a school project, inspired by Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis. Given the creative freedom to explore the themes of the book, our team chose to delve into the complex emotions of depression and loneliness, using metaphorical spaces to illustrate the experiences of those struggling with these challenges.

My roles

2023

ESCAPE | Estúdio de Cerâmica

¬ Filming
¬ Sound Recording
¬ Editing

This assignment gave me the opportunity to interview the amazing couple behind ESCAPE, a cozy ceramics studio run by two talented artists who are also married. Their love and partnership are beautifully reflected in the pieces they create together, making the experience all the more special. Initially, the task of reaching out to a business felt daunting, but their warmth and willingness to share their creative journey made it incredibly rewarding. They even welcomed my follow-up questions and reshoots with open arms.

2024

Day to Night Cycle | Porto

¬ Filming
¬ Editing

For this school assignment, we were tasked with spending a day capturing the passing of time. Along with a few classmates, I decided to head to one of the most beautiful spots in Porto: the riverside and its surrounding areas. Our goal was to film the city's life—the residents, tourists, and the unique atmosphere—encapsulating the beauty of this historic town.

2024

ESAD WEEK

¬ Graphic & motion design
¬ Audio design

For a school showcasing event, I participated in the ESAD Week Student Highlight project. The brief was simple but challenging: create a 10-second video that starts and ends with the ESAD logo, allowing for a seamless transition between each student's contribution. While the approaches ranged from motion graphics to cinematography, I chose animation as my medium.

Shawshank Redemption Title Sequence

¬ Concept
¬ Filming
¬ Post production

For this school project, we were tasked with creating a title sequence for a movie from the 90s. My classmate and I took this as the perfect excuse to watch a new film we hadn't seen before, and we chose The Shawshank Redemption due to its critical acclaim. We were blown away by how powerful the film was and felt that watching it with fresh eyes would give us a better sense of what to incorporate into our project. I'm glad we made that choice.

Let's work together!
